Day 5: Living From Identity, Not For It

Reading: Galatians 2:20, Romans 8:14-17

Devotional: There are two ways to live. You can spend your life working for an identity, striving to prove your worth through performance, titles, and the approval of others. Or you can live from an identity already secured in Christ. Galatians 2:20 describes a life so surrendered to Christ that the old self, the self that was enslaved to the scoreboard, no longer drives the decisions. Romans 8 confirms that you are not a servant trying to earn a place at the table. You are an adopted child with full rights and full access. The strings the enemy uses to pull you in every direction lose their power when you know whose you are. You live for an audience of one.

Reflection: What would change in your daily life if you stopped trying to prove yourself to others and began living fully from the identity God has already given you? What is one practical step you can take this week to anchor yourself in that truth?
