Day 1: The Trap of Living for Approval

Reading: Proverbs 29:25

Devotional: The fear of what others think can quietly become the loudest voice in your life. Proverbs 29:25 warns that the fear of man is a snare -- a trap that catches you before you even realize you walked into it. Many people spend years adjusting their words, their choices, and even their convictions just to keep others comfortable. But God never designed you to live that way. He designed you to trust Him, and that trust produces a safety that no amount of human approval can ever provide. Today, ask yourself honestly: whose voice is driving your decisions?

Reflection: Identify one area of your life where fear of someone's opinion has shaped your choices. Bring that area before God in prayer and ask Him to replace that fear with faith.
