Day 4: Nothing Can Separate You

Reading: Romans 8:31, 38-39

Devotional: Romans 8:38-39 does not say that nothing difficult will come your way. It says that nothing -- not rejection, not failure, not criticism, not loss -- can separate you from the love of God revealed in Christ Jesus. People will sometimes withdraw their approval. Relationships will disappoint. Circumstances will shake your confidence. But the love of God is not subject to any of those forces. It stands firm regardless of what the world says about you or what you say about yourself on your worst day. When rejection comes, and it will, let this truth anchor you: their rejection cannot cancel His acceptance.

Reflection: Think of a time when someone's rejection deeply affected your sense of worth. Bring that memory before God today and ask Him to replace the wound left by that rejection with the unshakeable truth of His acceptance.
