Day 1: He Never Lets Go
Reading: Romans 8:35-39 -- Paul declares that nothing in all creation can separate believers from the love of God found in Christ Jesus.
Devotional:
There are seasons in life when we loosen our grip. Doubt creeps in. Disappointment settles heavy on the chest. The road gets long and the destination feels uncertain. Yet the great news of the gospel is not that we hold on to God, but that He holds on to us. As Pastor Seth reminded the congregation, "I've let go of Him before, but He never let go of me." That is not a small thing. That is the foundation everything else is built upon. Today, rest in the truth that your grip is not what keeps you. His grip is. And His grip does not fail.
Reflection Questions:
In what area of your life have you felt yourself loosening your grip on God?
How does knowing that God's hold on you does not depend on your strength change the way you face today?
Practical Application: Write down one fear or worry you have been carrying. Beside it, write the words: "He never lets go." Place it somewhere you will see it throughout the day.
