Day 3: The Comparison Trap

Devotional: Social media has weaponized comparison, but the problem isn't new—James addressed it two thousand years ago. When we constantly measure our lives against others, we breed jealousy, discontent, and selfish ambition. We scheme for what others have instead of asking God for what we need. Worse, when we do ask God, our motives are corrupted by envy rather than guided by His will. The antidote isn't deleting apps (though that might help); it's fixing your eyes on your own calling. God has a unique plan for your life that has nothing to do with anyone else's Instagram feed. Today, identify one area where comparison has stolen your joy, and consciously thank God for where He has you right now.
