Day 2: Gethsemane's Anguish

Devotional: In Gethsemane, we witness Jesus' humanity in full display. Three times He prayed, "Not my will, but yours be done," revealing both His struggle and His surrender. The anguish He experienced wasn't rebellion—it was the weight of bearing all sin and facing separation from the Father. Jesus understands your suffering because He experienced it Himself. Notice His instruction to the disciples: "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation." Staying alert spiritually and maintaining constant prayer are essential to overcoming life's trials. Jesus' strength came from His relationship with the Father. Today, examine your prayer life. Are you watching and praying, or sleeping through spiritual battles? Let Gethsemane remind you that victory comes through surrendered prayer.
